Pre Combo Classes are designed to give the young dancer an opportunity to discover and explore different types of dance. It incorporates Creative Movement, Ballet, Tap and Tumbling. Students learn basic steps and locomotor skills through games, stories, and imaginary events. Class allows 2 to 4 year olds to interact with other children and be creative with music and props. Students will need pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes, leotard, and tights.

Combo Classese for students age 4 thru 8 where they learn the basis of movement found in Ballet and Tap class or Jazz and Tap class. The goal is to foster creativity, master basic dance skills, and a love of dance. The class includes concepts that are found in an older child’s dance class. Most students take two years of combo classes. Students will need pink ballet shoes or black jazz shoes, black tap shoes, leotard, and tights.

Ballet is the foundation of all dance styles.  We strongly suggest our advanced students take ballet twice a week to ensure adequate training and growth. Ballet technique takes many years to fully master. A student may be assigned to the same level for more than one year. Pointe training is introduced when strength and technique are developed.  Permission for Pointe class is required. Benefits:  Muscle toning, good posture, and discipline of body and mind. Students need black leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes.

Tap is a lively, rhythmic dance that makes the performer not just a dancer, but also a percussive musician. Benefits:  Self-expression, foot coordination and rhythm development. Students will need black tap shoes.

Jazz is an exciting and ever evolving dance form full of rhythm, syncopation, passion and life. Classes explore body isolations of the head, shoulders, ribcage, feet and arms. Jazz can be powerful and percussive or expressive and lyrical. Jazz dance is taught with the music of today together with the classical jazz of yesterday. Benefits: encourages individual expression and gives the dancer solid dance technique. Students need leotard or tank shirt, jazz pants and black jazz shoes.

Hip Hop takes dance off of the street and into the studio. Moves are strong, smooth and have plenty of attitude. Benefits:  Cool moves and a great work-out. Students need black jazz or hip hop shoes.

Boys Only Hip Hop is a combination of free style, hip hop, and street funk technique, geared toward young boys. Boys need comfortable clothing and clean tennis shoes. This class is offered several times a year as a SERIES.

Lyrical is a fusion of ballet and jazz, challenging dancers to interpret their music's meaning and express emotion. Benefits: flexibility, strength and self expression. Students need leotard and tights or jazz pants or lyrical shoes.

Music Theatre is a variety of Broadway routines from musicals old and new.  Students learn stylized Broadway choreography, basic singing skills and story plots of musicals.  Benefits: Self expression and improved performance skills. Students need black jazz shoes.

Tumbling teaches acrobatic skills such as somersaults, cartwheels, backbends, hand-stand rolls, etc. Benefits: boys a balance and coordination edge in sport activities, while girls will love becoming more limber. Students will need tank shirt or leotard and shorts.

Cheer - Strong movement style routines to current music and basic tumbling skills preparing the student for cheerleading teams. Students need T-shirt and shorts and clean white tennis shoes.

Clogging - has been around for hundreds of years.  It originated in the Appalachian Mountains. Early settlers from Holland, Germany, England, Scotland, Ireland and Africa combined their dance traditions.   Clogging and tap dancing have common roots.  It is performed not only to country and bluegrass music but also to pop, jazz and rap. Students need white clogging shoes.
